    The **Energy Systems Engineering** Group in the Electricity Infrastructure & Buildings Division develops computing methods and software tools to speed-up and scale the design and operations of energy systems.     **Responsibilities**

    We are seeking a **Group Leader** who is passionate about our mission, people-focused, and knowledgeable about energy system design and operations to lead our **Energy Systems Engineering Group** . The Group Leader is responsible for overall capability stewardship, including leading the group technically, developing and executing group strategic plans, coaching and developing staff, assuring safe and secure operations, and maintaining strong relationships across the organization. The successful candidate will have both people management experience and subject matter expertise in the capabilities stewarded by the group. The responsibilities are split between group management (75%) and serving as a technical contributor to projects (25%).

    This position will support the Satellite Operations & Ground Systems (SOGS) organization. The SOGS organization executes software development across multiple program domain areas to deliver analytics, planning, scheduling, command & control, and mission management capabilities focused on ground user and mission needs. These software systems are integral to the daily execution of stakeholders’ missions helping to solve intelligence and DoD war fighter strategies.

    The organization is seeking a hardworking, motivated, and creative SEIT Lead. This engineer will assist/lead development of Ground Control software system developed on cloud infrastructures following modern DevSecOps and Agile execution processes. The customer’s needs require state-of-the-art, software-intensive systems to efficiently and optimally task, plan, exploit, and disseminate data for hardware platforms (e.g. satellites, ground systems, etc.) for maximum stakeholder value. We seek candidates who have advanced skills in software systems engineering with domain experience in satellite ground systems and satellite operations.

    The successful candidate will be working with a team of system engineers, developers, testers, and customers who are developing containerized microservices in a fast-paced agile environment. As the SEIT Lead, you will shape the requirements, architecture, design, and user experience of SOGS satellite ground systems to ensure mission success and customer acceptance.

    + Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.

    The salary range for this position is $79,000- $97,000. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search assignment. The company offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, annual bonus, and profit sharing. We are looking to hire an electronics-focused Systems Engineer who will work with engineers, business development, and finance personnel to provide technical and cost solutions for external customers.Responsibilities:

    * As an Aerospace Systems Engineer, you will be part of the business development team that responds to customer inquiries about custom and existing products; This will involve tasks such as, architecting electronic systems and solutions, responding to customers request for proposals, coordinating customer meetings, reviewing requirements and statements of work, generating cost and schedule information, and participating in the new program transfer process to the engineering production team

    * Will be part of a team of 5 (will be handling the front end of the business)

    * BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or similar field

    * At least 3-5 years of previous experience in electronic engineering or development area, preferably in space and/or aerospace digital electronics or commercial or consumer high-speed digital products such as high-performance single board computers, electronic components or other electro-mechanical or electronic products

    * Experience responding to customers request for proposals, coordinating customer meetings, generating cost and schedule information, and participating in the new program transfer process to the engineering production team

    * Experience with technical writing and/or proposals

    * Experience with cost estimation methods

    * Experience with highly regulated industries such as Aerospace, Military, Space, Medical Device, Consumer Electronics or Electronic Manufacturing would be ideal

    * Excellent communication skills

    * Ability to multitask in a demanding business development environment and meet important deadline commitments

    * Knowledge of the design, assembly, and/or test phases of electronic product development is desired at least from earlier in career

    * Previously having been part of a team that was architecting and doing the design of electronic systems and solutions is a plus but not required
