    Our Tucson, AZ multi-disciplined water team is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training to work on a diverse range of pipeline and conveyance projects, such as gravity sewer pipes, force mains, water distribution systems and transmission mains, site civil, irrigation, drainage, and both water and wastewater pump stations.     **Your Key Responsibilities**

    + Collaborate with local and virtual project teams and senior project staff to produce high quality work products for our municipal and regional clients with a moderate level of guidance. As such, tasks may include performing engineering calculations, preparing detailed design drawings and specifications, and preparing planning and technical engineering reports. All tasks will be performed under the supervision of a professional engineer. Other responsibilities include:

    + Perform detailed civil engineering design inclusive of: engineering drawings and specifications, hydraulic system calculations, pipeline alignment and route studies, pipe material design selection, engineering memorandums and reports, valving and pump sizing criteria and prepare applications for regulatory agencies.

    + Assist in the preparation of engineering project documents, client presentations and communication pertaining to specific project deliverables.

    + Attend and assist in client, contractor, stakeholder, and regulatory agency meetings to gain a better understanding of client’s goals, project requirements, site assessments, key challenges, coordination.

    + Assist in the development of design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.

    + Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, surveyors, and environmental specialists, ensure compatibility with the design intent.

    + Participate in field investigations and site inspections to gather relevant data and assess project conditions.

    Salary Range: $142,500.00 - $247,600.00

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.     **Pay Range:** $104,000 - $123,000 annually

    **What's the Job?**

    + Serve as the engineering leader through all stages of a project of any size and play a larger role in the marketing of the studio and management of the discipline.

    + Lead and perform analysis, design, and documentation of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and controls.

    + Assist in establishing project goals, budgets, and schedules, track project performance, and follow/enforce quality control procedures.

    + Meet with clients, project teams, code officials, contractors, and others to address mechanical discipline issues and develop effective working relationships.

    + Present engineering design solutions to client representatives and/or design review committees.

    **What's Needed?**
