The Lead Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the conceptual design, review, and stamping, sealing of the drawings before submission to the clients.

Key responsibilities:

+ Develop, review, update, modify, and approve electrical design plans and work schedules.

+ Lead construction inspections, quality control, and submittal reviews beyond the expertise of construction managers

+ Provide quality assurance for ongoing projects, and serve as a mentor to fewer experienced engineers in the division

+ Support the Contract management, and Planning divisions with scope, programming, and scheduling definition

+ Develops cost estimates and time schedules, Reviews, and analyzes preliminary and final designs, plans, and specifications for technical efficiency and adequacy

+ Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications

+ Prepares necessary correspondence, technical reports, contract documents, fact sheets, and status reports and prepares final construction drawings suitable for obtaining qualified bids from Contractors

+ Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards

+ Use computer-assisted engineering software (AutoCAD, coordination studies load analysis) to perform engineering tasks as assigned.

+ Keep current with the latest technical innovations in electrical engineering

+ Assisting with recruitment, training, and onboarding. Ensuring a safe, positive work environment.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

+ Previous experience working on US Government and Military domestic and international projects preferred

+ A licensed Professional Engineer is required

+ Experience in power and UPS systems, power generation, 10 years in construction management/design

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for supporting the conceptual design and review of the drawings before submission to the clients.

Our salary range for this position is based on the market data, $90k to $100k per annum (range varies depending on experience and qualifications).

Key Responsibilities:

+ Support the project detail design structure before submitting it to clients

+ Work with the Project Managers or Engineers in identifying the project risk and planning mitigation actions

+ Implement the best practices, code standards, and use of technology in the execution of designs/delivery

+ Provide weekly or monthly reports in the form of accurate and detailed reports

+ Partner with other groups and/or departments to pursue significant opportunities, as well as teaming with the Business Development Group to produce compelling and winning proposals

+ Maintain awareness of industry trends (such as related technology, and green design), educate staff, and modify practices

+ Utilize Computer-Aided Design software and other equipment to support project designs and plans, when necessary.

+ Lead the staff with a focus on developing talent and providing innovative and effective technical solutions and ensure the skills necessary for successful execution are available; ensure the overall development of our professionals.

+ Develop staff to improve skill levels, deliver services, and stay abreast of evolving needs in the marketplace.

+ Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications To be successful in the role:

+ Required degree in Electrical Engineering

+ With Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification or currently in the process of obtaining EIT certification

+ Minimum of four years experience in electrical engineering design

+ Preferred to have handled government and healthcare projects

+ Ability to identify process and design improvements

+ Has a team mindset that enables staff to work together towards a common goal

In this role responsibilities include, although not limited to:

The solutions will be developed on full stack infrastructure – knowledge of database, middleware and front end are needed. **Overview**

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Test Engineer to support on the VRE PSES contract. The ideal candidate would provide testing support utilizing various tools to ensure quality product is delivered to our VA customer. This position is full time and fully remote.

**Responsibilities**

Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment to ensure that the product will perform to specifications. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating the product. Designs test cases for test plans and creates test scenarios in which tests are carried out. Compiles data, defines required changes and reports defects and problems that occurred during the test process. Implements and participates in the walkthrough of the product. Automated testing may be used for leveling based on hiring manager discretion.

+ Consults with the development and/or requirements team to coordinate and test applications.

+ Performs analysis, diagnostics, and preliminary evaluations of products. Develop testing procedures.

+ Develops test plans, scripts, scenarios, functional tests, regression tests, and deployment tests.

+ Implements the testing processes and ensures all test activities follow those processes. Produces reports on each test activity and tracks test metrics.

+ Monitors for continual test process improvement through failure analysis, throughput analysis, yield analysis, and report to management periodically.

+ Manual testing utilizing an on-prem legacy system.

+ End-to-End Software Testing Life Cycle from testing, defect logging and verification of closure of defects, Root Cause Analysis.

+ Functional Testing (System, Regression, and User Acceptance).

+ Database Testing using SQL queries, simple scripts.

+ Thorough understanding of testing considerations and requirements and mapping to user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases.

+ Using Jira for maintaining sprint test artifacts and X-RAY for Test execution.

+ Analysis of Test results, Defect management and reporting, maintaining Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).

+ Proactively communicate and coordinate with various internal and external project stakeholders.

+ Analytical and investigation skills, willingness to learn and ability to troubleshoot.

**Qualifications**

**Required Skills and Experience**

+ Bachelor’s with 5-8 years (or commensurate experience)

+ Experience in Manual, Integration, Functional and managing UAT Testing.

+ Extensive Jira experience building test plans, issues and executions and creating report outputs.

**Preferred Skills and Experience**

+ Exposure to Corporate Database or other VA systems and writing simple Oracle scripts for testing.

+ Experience with VA and/or other Federal Agencies.

+ Demonstrated experience in a remote work environment.

+ Strong understanding and hands-on experience working with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), NIST-800-53 guidance, HIPAA, and HITECH Act.

+ Well versed in Agile Methodology, the VA Veteran-Focused Integration Process (VIP) project management methodology.

**Clearance Required:**

Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
