As a Power HVAC Mechanic within the Power/HVAC division at United Rentals, you’ll use your skills to perform maintenance tasks as well as minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. **What you'll do:**
+ Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools
+ Responsible for service documentation

+ Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
+ Other duties assigned as needed
**Requirements:**
+ High School diploma or equivalent
+ 1-2 years of experience with repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment
+ Intermediate diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems
+ Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams
+ Own the tools applicable to position
+ Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
+ Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

The Mobile Diesel Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the fleet for clients and to handle service calls at client locations. Responsibilities:
+ Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
+ Handle basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with fuel, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed and documented as assigned.

+ Diagnosis, removal and replacement of injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, rod and main bearings, oil pans, clutches, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, brakes, changes or recharges batteries, and replaces transmissions and other parts.
+ Perform all necessary diagnostic and documentation functions on the company computer system.
+ Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and makes adjustments.
+ Lubricate moving parts and drives repaired vehicle to verify conformance to specifications.
+ Perform preventative maintenance work as requested.
+ Document and submit necessary paperwork or enter into mobile service program as work performed in an accurate and timely manner.
+ Respond to customer inquiries regarding the work. Foster positive customer relations.
+ Advise customer and/or service writer of any repairs or services which should be performed within the next 3 months.
+ Participate in training and utilize that training in the course of work.

This position reports to the Fire Alarm Manager or their designated Agent. **Work Schedule**
Normal compressed work week, with modified hours. Scheduled to work 9 hours but have a one-hour unpaid break/meal period. This means candidates will work 32 to 40 hours on a 4-day week. See Examples below…
**Shift A** : Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Shift starts at 4:30am and ends at 1:30 pm.
**Shift B** : Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Shift starts at 12:30 pm and ends at 9:30 pm.
**Shift C** : Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Shift starts at 4:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm.
**Shift D** : Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Shift starts at 11 am and ends at 11 pm.
**Duty time:** Mon – Sun 0400 – 1300 (1 hour break) / 1230 – 2130 (1 hour break)
• Duty headcount: Shifts A and C, 0400-1300 / 8 persons. Shifts B and D, 1230 – 2130 / 6 persons. Divided evenly across the respective shifts.

**Position location is in Phoenix, Arizona.**
This position reports to the Fire Alarm Manager or their designated Agent. The Fire Alarm Service Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing deficiencies and service on a variety of fire alarm system devices in a professional and timely manner. The Technician will be expected to meet weekly service and productivity goals. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean, well-organized vehicle and ensuring a safe environment for his/herself, co-workers and customers.
**Job Responsibilities**
+ Manage their time to complete the maximum amount of service and repairs while maintaining a high level of quality.
+ Protect and maintain company equipment.
+ Complete service reports on company tablet and ensure information is correct on deficiencies and repairs
+ Achieve any weekly productivity goals assigned by the Fire Alarm Manager or designated Agent.
+ Learn applicable fire protection codes and obtain applicable state licensing.
+ Protect and maintain company equipment.
+ Work in a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures including the driving, personal protective equipment, and lockout/tag-out policies.
+ Maintain their vehicle in accordance with company procedures and ensure it is clean and organized.
+ Perform any other tasks assigned by the Fire Alarm Manager or Agent.
**Job Qualifications:**
+ Prior fire alarm service experience required.
+ CSA FA2 license a plus but not required.
+ Applicable licensing and certification required by National, State and Local codes.
+ Ability to learn applicable installation, inspection, and servicing codes.
+ Ability to participate in on-call rotation.
+ A strong work ethic and professional appearance.
+ Excellent communications, and customer service skills.
+ Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ EST 3 or 4 Certification highly preferred.
+ Applicable experience either in the fire protection industry or the commercial customer service business in some capacity.
+ A fire alarm systems background or a background working as a licensed electrician.
+ Ability and willingness to obtain NICET and other trade specific certifications as necessary.
