**SUMMARY**

The **Critical Operations Technician I** is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of IT, electrical, mechanical, plumbing/piping equipment, machinery and controls located in the interior and exterior of building. This role monitors operations and conducts a routine and ongoing assessment of the building systems, operations, and performance. This role performs tests, rounds and analyzes data to ensure the proper functioning of departmental equipment. The role is also responsible for assisting customers on the Data Center floor both in person and via the telephone, performing customer equipment installs, managing tickets within the ticketing system, communicating and escalating alerts and customer requests to systems engineers for resolution, and completing tasks pertaining to computer hardware, software or operation systems. This role requires on-site work hours to support a 24X7X365 data center environment and is not eligible for remote and/or hybrid work.

**RESPONSIBILITIES,** other duties may be assigned.

+ Applies learning, knowledge, skills, and company policies to a wide range of tasks pertaining to IT, electrical and mechanical equipment, controls, and operating systems.

+ Leads, maintains, monitors, and performs preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment; records readings and adjusts where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment.

+ Provide remote hands and eyes services for customers.

+ Provide high level computer hardware and software configuration support. Install suite wall, cage material, ladder rack, fiber tray, cabinets, cabling, and customer equipment based on documentation provided by provisioning documentation and established Data Center Operation procedures.

+ Installs and repairs IT, mechanical, and electrical equipment as required; assists other team members with major repairs and maintenance of building and equipment.

+ Process work orders for preventative and corrective maintenance on critical, building, and site infrastructure. Consults with supervisor or team lead to order necessary tools and equipment as required to complete all maintenance and perform necessary work.

+ Create and/or update tickets within the established ticketing system to address customer calls, data center facility, network and/or system related alerts.

+ Operates and monitors critical and non-critical system equipment and components to ensure safe and compliant operation.

+ Responds as required to building emergencies and customer requests.

+ Complies with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

+ Uses the Change Management Process to get approval for preventative and corrective maintenance. Commences & completes the maintenance along with the necessary documentation using the QTS process and software.

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**

· Two or more years of technical training, military training, or workplace equivalency

· Background in areas of IT, electrical, and/or mechanical

· Proficiency with MS Office Suite

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**

· One or more years of work experience in data center environment, NOC, or equivalent

· BOD OEM (Panduit, Corning), A+, Network+, BICSI Installer I certifications

Responsible for the accurate and timely sampling, testing, shipping and storage of plasma collected from donors.

**Job Description**

1 In compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), responsible for collecting plasma samples and moving plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.

2 Ensures plasma units are properly stored according to SOPs, which could include unsuitable plasma units and samples.

3 Ensures accuracy of unit labeling by verifying the pre-printed label matches the dynamic label.

4 Utilizes sterile technique to draw samples and uses heat sealer to assure the sterility and quality of plasma unit samples per SOPs.

5 May ensure samples and units are packed and shipped in accordance with SOPs and center procedures. Prepares shipping and unit disposal documentation.

6 Monitors freezer and refrigerator temperatures and immediately informs appropriate personnel if equipment is not functioning properly. Records variances.

7 Conducts daily calibration of equipment according to SOPs.

8 Ensures the accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system as outlined in the SOPs.

9 Understands the policies and procedures associated with hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.

10 Maintains clean efficient work environment, and ensures sufficient operating supplies and forms are available as needed. Follows all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures. Promotes safety in all actions.

The current vacancies are in the Athletic/Sports Field Maintenance Assignment and the Riverview/Pro-Sports Maintenance Assignment.

A Parks Maintenance Worker II works independently while performing a variety of semiskilled to skilled tasks in two or more trades or skill areas, such as carpentry, welding, electrical, masonry, painting, or plumbing for the maintenance, repair, alteration, and construction of facilities, fixtures, and equipment at City parks, basins, golf courses, athletic/sports fields, and other recreational areas, including, but not limited to: chain link fence repair and installation; and repair of parks, playgrounds, golf courses, stadium structures, facilities, and related equipment. Employees in this class may also provide functional supervision or lead direction and training for Parks Maintenance Assistants, Parks Maintenance Worker I's, temporary agency workers, or volunteers. This class performs related duties as required.

Athletic/Sports Field Maintenance Assignment: Employees assigned to athletic/sports field maintenance perform construction, maintenance, repair, field game preparation, and related service activities for the athletic fields including a variety of tasks in general trades and/or skilled maintenance, repair, alteration, and construction of facilities, fixtures, and irrigation systems. Duties include: possibly inspecting play facilities and other equipment; independently scheduling or completing related repairs; planning and organizing work activities; performing advanced irrigation system repairs; programming computerized irrigation system watering schedules; coordinating with SRP and applying fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides. Riverview/Pro-Sports Maintenance Assignment: Employees assigned to Riverview/Pro-Sports maintenance assignment perform construction, maintenance, repair, and skilled labor in maintaining and repairing the City’s athletic/sports fields and Riverview Park including a variety of tasks in general trades and/or skilled maintenance, repair, alteration, and construction of facilities, fixtures, playground equipment, and irrigation systems. Duties include: performing landscape maintenance at the stadium common areas and park; conducting safety inspections; independently scheduling or completing related repairs; performing athletic field game preps; advanced repair and programing of computerized irrigation systems; planning and organizing work activities; and applying fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides.

This classification is distinguished from the next lower level, Parks Maintenance Worker I, by the advanced skill level and independence exercised by the Parks Maintenance Worker II. The Parks Maintenance Worker II class is distinguished from the next higher level, Trades Worker, by the latter's performance of the full-range of tasks of a trade at the journey-level and, with the exception of the combined trades of electricity and plumbing, performs nearly all of the work in one trade. Supervision is received from a Parks Maintenance Leader or Parks and Community Facilities Maintenance Foreman (depending on assignment) who reviews work through observation, conferences, reports, and spot checking of results achieved. Employees are required to use appropriate safety equipment and procedures in performing assignments. A Parks Maintenance Worker II may be subject to yearly rotational stand-by duty and 24-hour call-out; working evenings, early mornings, and weekend shifts. This class is FLSA nonexempt.

**Qualifications:**

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance

In this position, you will support a continuous improvement culture that will maximize capabilities and efficiencies in our distribution centers.
