The position will have broad responsibility for operating and setting up the machines and welders. This position will work first shift and flexibility will be required dependent on projects and workload.

    Job Responsibility Operator Position:

    Sets up and adjusts machines and equipment to meet production specifications.

    Checks and observes machines to ensure production of a quality product product.

    Makes necessary changes to equipment and process as indicated by quality control check.

    Responsible for the operation of the machines and welders in the areas of production and quality of work produced.

    Makes out daily production and downtime reports and check sheet.

    Cleans up assigned area.

    Helps clear out scrap.

    Monitors and maintains production and scrap rates.

    Qualifications:

    Previous work experience in a manufacturing setting.

    Machine operation or mechanical skill set experience.

    Knowledge of steel or manufacturing processes desired.
