This role is to support the General Counsel's Organization (GCO) at American Express. The mission of the GCO is to protect and strengthen American Express through legal expertise and strategic advice that helps business partners manage risk, identify opportunities, and deliver on the company’s promise of exceptional products and services. **How will you make an impact in this role?**

The Senior Manager, Product Management will report to the Director of Technology & Innovation within GCO and will be responsible for building our product strategy for the Legal Document and Knowledge Management System (DM/KM), partnering with our practice teams to define and deliver a DM/KM system that meets the needs of the GCO and adheres to legal and risk requirements.

+ The person will work closely with our attorneys and the American Express technology organization to develop the functionality roadmap to drive efficiency, collaboration, and knowledge retention across the organization.

+ Product owner of the SharePoint based document management and knowledge management tools. Set the strategy for these tools that drive efficiency and effectiveness improvements for GCO.

+ Serve as strategic partner with GCO Docs Executive Sponsor. Lead quarterly strategic sessions with GCO Docs Champions and lead Champions communications strategy.

+ Work in close partnership with stakeholders, and enterprise technology organization to develop and deliver KM processes and solutions to foster engagement, information sharing and collaboration, through feature enhancements, better user experiences and improvements that drive adoption.

+ Manage Business Analyst who supports DM/KM system, reporting and analytics, and other BAU systems

+ Be the “Go to” point of contact for users who have questions and training needs on the tools. Empathize with users to develop solutions that enable them to be more efficient. Maintain close partnership with technology vendors to support the functional strategy.

+ Leverage UX and process improvement best practices to increase and enhance Legal processes, programs, and technology solutions for Document Management DM in SharePoint.

+ Follow an Agile framework to efficiently manage solutions and enhancements. Partner with the learning and development team to ensure adequate training and communications are in place for systems to support change management and user adoption. Formulate a metric-driven strategy that will guide prioritization and approach for new and existing initiatives.

+ Participate in reviews of business processes from a technology perspective, especially where opportunities exist for the department to deliver enhanced support to GCO users. Utilize data and user needs to drive the implementation of mission-critical tools designed to streamline service delivery, including self-service capabilities.

+ Have an external perspective - identify best practices and evaluate emerging trends across the industry in DM/KM while also partnering with enterprise technology team to grow knowledge of relevant new internal capabilities and tools.

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ 5 years experience in technology product management, or similar role, including SharePoint experience.

+ Strategic and strong product management and project management skills; demonstrated history of ability to convert high level policies and programs into clear project deliverables.

+ Analytical thinker with business acumen and strong results-orientation. Deep experience leading multiple, simultaneous projects under tight deadlines and pressure.

+ Experience working with user groups to develop UI strategies and drive Change Management / adoption.

+ Skilled at communicating efficiently and effectively with senior leaders. Strong interpersonal, leadership and influencing skills with ability to work across functions.

+ Ability to work well with ambiguity, multiple priorities, and fast paced environment with a positive "roll up your sleeves" attitude and ability to work with a "start-up" mentality.

+ Comfortable working in more complex technical and regulatory environments, and flexibility to adapt as organization grows and evolves.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience working on Legal document management systems.

+ 5 years’ experience in Power App.

+ Bachelor’s degree

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually bonus benefits
