Bakersfield Memorial Hospital includes 385 general acute beds 48 licensed critical care beds 13 state-of-the-art surgical suites and a full-service Emergency Department with an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Nationally Certified Stroke Center. **Responsibilities**

**Position Summary:**

Perform accurate and complete medication history assessments verify allergy information and ensure complete documentation for new admissions to the hospital.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualficiations:**

+ Current California Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license

+ Education required to obtain and maintain licensure

+ Minimum of two (2) years of pharmacy technician experience

+ Complete medication history competency and assessment

+ Accurate work with careful attention to detail and persistence to get the job done right every time.

+ Working knowledge of common outpatient medication doses and forms preferred.

+ Possess the necessary interpersonal and communication skills required to interact with patients coworkers and other health professionals.

+ Ability to prioritize work in a high volume work environment.

+ Must be able to write legibly speak and read English proficiently.

+ Must be able to operate computer calculator telephone and other pharmacy related equipment.

+ Adapt to changes in workload and schedule to meet patient needs.

+ Set priorities and solve problems

+ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

**Pay Range**

$ 27.95 - $34.94 /hour
