**Technology Risk & Compliance - Associate Director**

Ethics, Compliance, and Risk Management (ECRM) supports our people in managing the risks that arise during our daily working lives. We work closely with all parts of the organization to identify, manage and monitor risk, providing coordinated advice and assistance on independence, conflicts, compliance, regulatory, policy, security issues, as well as dealing with claims and any queries regarding ethics.

As an Associate Director with our Technology Risk and Compliance (TRC) function, you will make educated, thoughtful decisions on Risk Management and Compliance. Our brand depends on it. **Your key responsibilities**

As part of EY Americas Technology Risk and Compliance function, you will lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of various strategic and operational program initiatives. We are looking for a high performing Associate Director with in-depth subject matter knowledge to efficiently assess and manage information security risk, ensure compliance, and oversee implementation of relevant mitigating controls to enhance the overall technology risk posture of EY US. The Technology Risk and Compliance function is focused on delivering technology risk insights and mitigating actions to the business to enable better risk-based decisions and align with client expectations.

This role maintains the EY US information security risk strategy and provides cyber governance and risk management oversight; managing the security policy framework and relevant standards and aligning with applicable security, privacy, contractual and compliance requirements through strategy development, controls definition and assessment and process oversight. It requires close partnership with EY’s Americas Data Protection/Privacy function and Global IT and Information Security functions.

**Skills and attributes for success**

+ Drives the strategic definition and execution of activities within the Technology Risk and Compliance function, including but not limited to:

+ Leading the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of information security policies and standards for EY US in collaboration with EY Global,

+ Overseeing deep-dive technology risk assessments and delivering findings, recommendations, and remediation steps,

+ Evaluating business and technical requirements, communicating inherent security risks and providing recommendations for mitigating controls to technical and non-technical stakeholders,

+ Overseeing and managing the technology risk assessment and security exception processes,

+ Identifies gaps and deficiencies in information security processes and procedures and recommends corrective actions,

+ Delivers recommendations and risk interpretations in a clear, concise and audience-specific format,

+ Coordinating and executing changes to existing procedures, inclusive of SLAs to enhance the risk management life cycle, and

+ Generating awareness for security best practices for both internal stakeholders and external partners.

+ Steers the analysis of related legal and regulatory developments to confirm applicable requirements,

+ Collaborates with various functions across the organization, such as EY’s Global Information Security, and members of the business and Service Line Quality, to design and implement controls in order to protect confidential/personal information,

+ Delivers reports on various program activities to key program stakeholders, including senior leaders within the organization,

+ Maintains and expands knowledge of field of expertise and communicates new developments and resulting impact to program stakeholders and team members, and

+ Manages projects to deadline and budget, while utilizing a range of virtual team members.

**To qualify for the role, you must have**

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ Solid understanding of relevant firm business and area wide information security issues and concerns

+ Strong problem-solving skills

+ Flexibility and the ability to take the initiative

+ Ability to right-size risk

+ Ability to interact with all levels, including senior management

+ Strong research skills

+ Strong project management skills; ability to successfully handle multiple tasks

+ Strong working knowledge of information systems and common software packages

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Information Systems (or related technical field); Graduate degree preferred

+ 8+ years of experience building and maturing an IT-GRC or technology risk management function

**Ideally, you’ll have**

+ Ability to reference existing firm information security and data protection policies as well as knowledge and experience to review complex situations and assist in proposing solutions

+ Strong knowledge of relevant global, national, and local data protection laws, regulations, and standards, as well as familiarity with other risk management initiatives outside of their specific area

+ Sound understanding of technology and information security trends

+ Experience in IT risk management

+ Technical knowledge of multiple security domain areas such as identity & access management, application security, security operations, and network/infrastructure security

+ Experience with information security control and compliance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, ISO, 27001, NIST)

+ Information security certification from ISC2 or ISACA (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA)

+ Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and associated risks is preferred

**What we offer**

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $138,900 to $259,700. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $166,700 to $295,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
