The Avionics industry is entering into a new exciting age of Urban Air Mobility and Autonomous Flight.

Become a part of a team that will lead the way in this market by developing new compact and lightweight Next-Generation Traffic and Surveillance Avionics that will be used on a wide variety of aircraft platforms, from Air Transport and Business Jets to Urban Air Mobility (UAM) / Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). You will help create breakthrough innovations that will ensure Honeywell’s leadership position in this space.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the ( CN&S) Communication, Navigation and Surveillance Avionics organization, you will play a critical role in creating system solutions for the TCAS (Traffic Collision Avoidance System) and Transponder Product Team. You will play a critical role in the design, development, and delivery of cutting-edge Avionics technologies, directly contributing to shaping the future of our technological advancements in the Traffic and Surveillance Avionics space.

+ In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on Next-Generation and New Product Development projects for TCAS/Collision Avoidance, Transponder and Surveillance Avionics.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams consisting of Systems, Software, Hardware and Test Engineers to understand customer requirements and provide innovative solutions

+ Systems Design

+ Systems Integration

+ Systems Validation & Verification

+ Customer Interaction

+ Project Oversight / Coordination

+ Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in TCAS/Collision Avoidance, CN&S and Avionics technologies

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVE

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

+ 7-10+ years of Systems Engineering Experience

+ Knowledge of Avionics (or related products) and their development lifecycle.

WE VALUE

+ Knowledge of Avionics in the communications, navigation, or surveillance space is of value

+ i.e TCAS, Transponder, Avionic Communication, Radios, Avionics Flight Displays, FMS, Surveillance, Radar, Navigation, GPS, etc

+ Competence to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience

+ Experience with RF products is of value.

+ Experience working in new product development programs is of value

+ Experience in working with aircraft manufacturers such as Boeing, Airbus, Dassault, etc is of value.

+ Experience with the FAA certification process for avionics is of value.

+ Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts.

+ Ability to adapt dictated by project changes
