Learn more at HonorHealth.com. Responsibilities Job Summary In consultation with Development staff, initiate, coordinate, and manage all aspects of donor and prospect research. Collect, interpret, evaluate, and synthesize biographical and financial information on individuals. Develop in-depth profiles on major gifts prospects as assigned. Develop and maintain systems and timelines for prospect research. Analyze information and prepare reports, recommendations, and prospect lists to be used by staff. Maintain documentation of fundraising-related activities of the top major gift prospects and donors. Develop and implement strategies for identifying new prospects and disseminate information to appropriate staff. Monitor follow up on prospects by major gift officers and report accordingly to Executive Vice President Major Gifts. Work closely with the Raiser's Edge systems analyst to ensure the accuracy of information entered in Raiser's Edge on donors and donor prospects. Monitor on-line and print publications for sources of information on donors and prospects. The Associate Vice President of Prospect and Research supports and guides the fundraising efforts of HonorHealth by conducting research, categorizing prospects and donors in terms of interest and capacity, and determining when they should be moved to active prospect lists for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. The Associate VP assigns prospects by interest and affinity, manages movement through the pipeline, and assists major gift officers in planning strategies and priorities. The Associate Vice President tracks the progress of development officers with their prospect portfolios, maintains the contact history, and meets the research needs of the Senior Executive Vice President and President. The Associate VP will also lead the teams’ efforts in conducting research and analyzing data, utilizing publicly available information sources as well as data provided internally to prepare written biographical and financial prospect profiles on individuals, corporations and foundations. Additional responsibilities will include introducing, implementing, and maximizing tools and methods to ensure effective prospect management, including data mining and predictive modeling. The Associate VP will create a robust prospect pipeline by ensuring major gift officers have the proper tools and data to construct meaningful relationships and provide critical leadership to a high-functioning Major Gifts Program in order to maintain strategies and coordinate activity related to prospects rated at $1 million or more. The Associate Vice President develops and manages regular prospect strategy sessions; promotes cohesive and consistent strategy for prospects via moves management and data; and recommends specific tasks and procedures to improve the prospect management process. The Associate VP will educate Foundation staff and others involved in fundraising activities about current Research practices and trends. The Associate VP will create research policies for the unit, to include research request guidelines, ensuring that all members are properly informed and trained and that the policies and procedures are integrated and implemented. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree Required Experience 5 years of progressively responsible job related experience. Experience in research and development services with proven experience in prospect management, preferably in a large healthcare system, university or college environment.. Required
