• Serve on scene during emergencies, making sure all aspects of the Emergency plan are followed.
• Develop, manage, and conduct regular Town-wide emergency training for preparedness, informational and compliance purposes.
• Serve as the Town’s liaison on emergency preparedness issues with applicable Federal, State, County and regional governmental and non-governmental agencies including school districts.
• Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Emergency Management program of the grants, contracts, and Emergency Management section.
• Administer and manage contracts related to the emergency management program.
• Administer the process for submitting Federal and State reimbursement claims for the Town’s costs during and after emergency operations. Interpret Federal and State funding regulations as they impact the Town.
• Facilitate training to staff, volunteers and the citizens on emergency preparedness programs and initiatives; coordinate and assist with emergency management training and exercises; organize and conduct emergency management drills.
