Basic Job Functions:

Safety is an integral part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety practices, policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards to always make safety a priority. The Casting Utility role requires a working knowledge of the casting process that will include but be limited to the caster equipment, process, torch run out, tundish refractories and ladle gates.The selected candidate will be expected to cross-train and learn all positions in the casting process. The qualified candidate must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ 6 months previous steel mill experience

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Current or previous experience working in Melt Shop
