**Where You Will Work **

In operation since 2007, Safford operations is a zero-discharge facility and one of the most sustainable mines in the United States. The operation’s commitment to utilizing advanced technologies and sustainable practices strongly emphasizes safety and environmental stewardship. Located in southeastern Arizona, close to more than 4 million acres of national forest, employees and their families can connect with the great outdoors while fishing, rafting, hiking and more. Several educational institutions also are nearby, including a Northern Arizona University satellite campus, Eastern Arizona College, and the Gila Institute for Technology.

**Description**

Provide multidimensional technical and administrative support to the HR Department(s). Serve as liaison with functional units at all levels, to provide direction to the appropriate HR resources available. Maintain, compile, and submit employee records, files for central file management, plus administer payroll procedures.

+ Perform complex, diversified, and specialized administrative work for site HR; providing monthly and ad-hoc reports to leadership, compiling statistical data; audit applicable HR requests.

+ Administer payroll function, analyze and provide appropriate resolution to intricate payroll discrepancies.

+ Provide staffing assistance by coordinating recruitment functions.

+ Coordinate the on-boarding processes and employee orientation meetings. Collects and process documentation for new employees.

+ Promote appropriate interpersonal relationships with personnel at all levels through guiding, organizing meetings, and directing to the suitable channels for resolution; provide other functional activities.

+ Communicate with all levels of the workforce, in formal and informal settings, to provide solutions and to route customer(s) to the appropriate HR shared services.

+ Participate on paid and unpaid leave cases of varying types, including accommodations.

+ Control the accuracy and completeness of confidential HR files, including submission of appropriate records to share services files management processors.

+ Responsible for ordering office supplies, making invoice payments, and other miscellaneous purchases.

+ Interpret established policies and provide information for the resolution of problems.

+ Protect employee confidentiality and protect operations, by keeping Human Resource information restricted and secure.

+ Perform other duties as required.

**Qualifications**

Minimum Requirements:

+ High School Diploma or GED AND seven (7) years of administrative experience

+ Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Power Point applications, and email abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Proficient in database management tools.

+ Human resource admin or office support work experience

+ Experience with SAP

+ Experience with Payroll systems

+ Experience with advanced spreadsheet functions

Criteria/Conditions:

+ Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hardhat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

**What We Offer You**

The estimated pay range for this role is currently **$26.00-$36.00/hour** . This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
